“Homeopathy treats the causes of disease and just the effects”

About Verina.

I am a qualified homeopath and a registered member of the Society of Homeopaths. I trained at the Centre for Homeopathic Education in London and practice in the Peterborough, south Lincolnshire and north Cambridgeshire area.

I have always had a keen interest in people, their health, and alternative medicine, previously working for many years in the field of drug and alcohol misuse. I first learned of homeopathy in the 1980’s when my own children were very young and I found that their illnesses could often be swiftly and gently resolved with the aid of homeopathic remedies.

In addition to the work that I undertake within Royce’s Lane Homeopathy, I am a member of the Complementary Cancer Therapies Group - a group of practitioners spread across the North Cambridgshire/Rutland/South West Lincolnshire areas who have an interest in helping people affected by cancer and their carers. For more information about this service, visit http://www.complementarycancertherapies.co.uk

I am also a member of the Travelling Homeopaths Collective.

“The Collective was set up in 1990 to provide a Mobile Homoeopathic Clinic to treat people with Homoeopathy and promote Homoeopathy at fairs, festivals and other outdoor occasions. We treat thousands of people every year at many festivals including Glastonbury, Cambridge Folk Festival, and The Big Green Gathering”, (THC website).

Working with this group has provided me with insight into of the value of homeopathy in ‘acute’ illness. We are often able to provide immediate relief for many common ailments such as hay fever, sunstroke, etc. in extreme conditions where symptoms can swiftly become unbearable. When not practicing homeopathy, I enjoys travel, music and I am a trustee for Heal a UK registered charity that is committed to providing shelter, support, education and health care for needy children. This interest took me on a sponsored bike ride through India’s Andhra Pradesh region in 2008 to raise money for a project near Guntur, Andhra Pradesh that cares for more than 200 orphaned and destitute children, from ages 5 to 18.
